A woman from north-west London has been fatally injured in a ‘nightclub stampede’ it has been revealed.

The BBC has reported that the woman was fatally injured after a stampede broke out in the Northampton nightclub Lava & Ignite, which is owned by nightclub operators Luminar.

It is not yet clear what has caused the ‘stampede’, but witnesses have said that it broke out after people were told that their buses were leaving.

Police are reportedly looking into claims that the clubs fire alarm was activated and this could also have been a cause.
